What is safeguarded by the CE conformity marking?

The CE marking safeguards that the product satisfies the basic requirements of all the European Directives applied to it. The manufacturer ensures that, before the product is made available to the European market, it has been assessed and established that it satisfies the essential requirements. The CE conformity marking is not a safety or quality assurance marking. It indicates however that the product is safe if it is used for the purpose for which it has been designed / constructed and that the instructions of the manufacturer have been followed and which must accompany the product and must be in Greek language
