For what products does CE conformity marking apply?

All products within the scope of the European New Approach Directives must have a CE conformity marking. There are 20 European New Approach Directives corresponding to 20 product categories aiming at simplifying the procedures for imports and movements of products within the European market and the harmonization of the technical requirements of various product categories. Some examples with CE conformity marking are: Lifts, steam boilers, cranes, band-saws, safety shoes, sun-glasses, electric drills, toys, etc.
