Based on the Safety and Health at Work ( First Aid ) Regulations of 2019, every employer is obliged to ensure sufficient number of first aiders at workplace, according to the needs arising from its working activities and the risk assessment.
First Aiders should be trained in first aid at work training courses and have a valid certificate from approved Providers every 3 years.
For the provision of first aid at work training courses, the Chief Inspector approves Providers according to specific criteria applied by the Department of Labour Inspection and renews their license every year.
The Department of Labour Inspection keeps relevant registry of all approved Providers. The Criteria for Approval and the Registry of Providers are posted on the Department of Labour Inspection website
