In order to harmonize the Cyprus Legislation with the Acquis Communataire, on 1/1/2003 the Law of Equal Treatment between Men and Women in Occupational Social Security Schemes was put into force. The main objective of this Law is to implement in occupational social security schemes, the principle of equal treatment for men and women.
