The criteria which are taken into account for purposes of comparison in a given occupational category or economic sector are:

  • • The nature of the duties,
  • • The level of responsibility,
  • • Qualifications, skills and seniority,
  • • The requirements in relation to physical or mental abilities,
  • • The conditions under which the work is performed, and
  • • The extent to which any difference in relation to the work performed or the terms under which the work is performed is of minor importance in relation to total work that is performed or the extent to which the frequency at which the differences occur does not affect the total work.
