Yes, the employee has the right to request parental leave in flexible ways which accommodate both his/her and their employer’s needs. This right is limited to the possibility of taking parental leave with a minimum duration of one (1) day.

Example: an employee can apply for parental leave on certain days of the week, for a specific period of time, effectively reducing his/her weekly working days while exercising the right to parental leave on the remaining days (e.g. for a period of 5 weeks, he/she will be working on Monday-Wednesday and taking parental leave on Thursday-Friday).
