An employee under the age of 18 cannot work in a catering establishment for more than 38 hours per week (not including the necessary time for lunch), while in the case of an employee who has not reached the age of 16, he or she cannot work for more than 36 hours per week. The Law of 2001 for the Protection of Young Persons at Work (No 48(I)/2001), of the Department of Labour, is relevant.
