Who is entitled to annual leave with pay
All employees in the private and the public sector, including apprentices are entitled to annual leave with pay.

Who pays the employee

During the annual leave the employee is either paid directly by his/her employer or out of the Central Holiday Fund to which employers are obliged to pay contributions.

Duration of Leave

If the employee has worked 48 weeks within one year he/she is entitled to 4 weeks of annual leave with pay.

    · If the employee works on a five-day per week basis you he/she is entitled to 20 working days annual leave
    · If the employee works on a six-day per week basis he/she is entitled to 24 working days annual leave

Accumulation of leave

The annual leave can be accumulated, for a period of two years, by agreement between the employer and the employee. In this case, employees are paid their leave at the same time for both years by the Central Holiday Fund.
