Since its establishment in 1976, as the international component of the Cyprus Productivity Centre, the Mediterranean Institute of Management has immensely contributed to the development of professional management in Cyprus. Through the Post-Graduate Management Diploma Program, MIM has set very high Professional Management standards and has created a managerial elite able to assist private and semi-government organizations to adjust successfully to constant socio-economic changes and rapid technological innovation. More than 700 graduates of the full-time post-graduate program and more than 300 graduates of the part time program are today shaping the future of Cypriot and Oversea enterprises.
MIM through the organization of the post-graduate program and short duration seminars with international participation is contributing its share to the economic development of many countries. More than 240 graduates have benefited from the MIM programs.
The International Labour Organization (ILO) recognising the high standards achieved by MIM has classified it as an "Institute of Excellence" and has chosen it as its partner in organizing seminars for developing countries.
The Cyprus Government, by decision of the Council of Ministers in June, 1987, recognized the MIM Diploma as a Post-Graduate qualification in management studies, of one academic year's duration, for employment purposes in the Public Service.
