Τhe hourly wage is calculated as a proportion of the regulated weekly working hours or the normal weekly working hours of full time employees in the company, or in the absence of any of these, it is calculated on the normal weekly working hours in the economic sector. For example, minimum wage for salespersons corresponds to 38 hours of weekly working time (Article 11 of the Law that regulates the Operation of Shops and the Employment Terms of their Employees of 2006-2020 is relevant).

Consequently, a salesperson who works 19 hours a week will receive a salary equal to at least half (50%) of the applicable minimum wage, given that under the relevant law the regular weekly hours of full time shop employees are 38.
