Chemical Substances

What should the manufacturers/importers/distributors check on the labels of dangerous chemical products?

The labels of dangerous chemical products should include the appropriate danger symbols, coloured black on an orange background. The Risk and Safety phrases and the corresponding danger indications under the danger symbols should be written in Greek. Additionally, an indication of the composition, such as the name and the EINECS numbers of the dangerous chemicals, should be written on the label. Finally, the name, address and telephone number of the person responsible for placing the product on the European Market should be written on the label. This person should be established within the European Community area. For more information you may consult the Greek leaflet here.
