All the applied restrictions for the use of specific chemical substances in preparations and products (e.g. phthalates in toys, nickel in jewelries, azodyes in clothes etc) are included in Annex XVII of the European Regulation REACH, to which all the provisions of the existing national legislation (Annex X of the Dangerous Substances and Preparations Regulations) have been incorporated. Annex XVII of REACH also includes all banned chemical substances, e.g. asbestos.
