Training Programmes


Programme for the modernization of Technical Vocational Training


The Development Programme for the modernization of the Technical Vocational Training (TVT) of the Cyprus Productivity Center, with a time horizon of three years (2011-2013), aims to create modern buildings and technological infrastructure in the three complexes of laboratories (in Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca) in order to meet the needs of accelerated initial training and ongoing technical professional training. It also aims in the creation of modern teaching technological base through state-of-the-art technology, means and training equipment and to the systematic training, development, continuous upgrading and certification of the CPC trainers.
In addition, it aims towards the upgrading of the training programmes offered, the development and application of modern training methodologies, the development of appropriate training materials for the needs of the training programmes, the facilitation of employability of training graduates and to the establishment of a mechanism for continuous support of the participants in training programmes, in the context of Life Long Learning. An integral part of the development program is the effective management of the TVT, and the development and implementation of the appropriate organizational structure.

Under the Programme, the upgrade of the TVT workshops in Limassol has already been completed. The re-construction of the TVT laboratories in Nicosia is expected to start in 2012.
